New package Parody evaluation

The process for my team and I to do the news parody was pretty simply. My team and I don't watch the news much but we got inspiration from watching the most popular new channel in the UK BBC news. We used a green in order to get the background of the BBC news studio. My team and also edited the so that we could get the intro of the BBC news to make seem as if it was the real BBC news channel.

My team kept arguing among each on who would be the camera man or women and the editing as no body to act in our video and seemed camera shy.

Docudrama sub - genres of factual TV

Docudrama - Documentary drama are generally based of real life facts that have happened.  These documentary doesn't have much commentary from the narrators stand point as it avoids that so the audience can be engaged as much as possible in the docudrama. The appeal would be people having arguments and fights which audiences like because they are really nosey as people find it appealing to see other peoples personal problems on the big TV screen.

Biopics - Biopics are movies which are based off of real life events that have actually happened example of a movie would be open water which has people in shores of Australian on a boat that has sank. The appeal here would be a story simply being based off of real life events. people find amazing for something's that happened in the past ridiculous and terrifying to some. These biopics are also done realistically and possible following the real life event making it all the more appealing and engaging.

Docusoap - Are usually celebrity be recorded to their day o day life. It may seem boring to most people but to people that are a fans to such celebrity they might find out more about the celebrity that they are so passionate about.

Reality TV - Reality TV usually show the lives of celebrities and what they go through day to day bases.  The makes the audience aware and also relate themselves to a celebrity on reality TV. Example of reality TV would be meet the Kardashians

Infotainment - Infotainment is a mix between being informative while also being entertaining to the audience. Humans have a habit of being really curious which is why we also seek for knowledge as humans we also get really bored easily and a way for us to entertain ous selves would be from humours any sort.  By putting these two together you get infotainment which is the best of both worlds.

Wild life - planet earth usually with just a narrator voicing everything that is happening in the on screen planet earth is a perfect exam as it tell a story through what is happening on screen which is real footage of nature taking place in real life.

Educational
Education shows are for the sole purpose of feeling people with interesting facts that appeal to people like to learn things.

Review shows are critics that review a product. The appeal of this is that people get an opinions of the critics. This makes the audience think and consider that the person has said about a product. Second point I'll be making is do games make games violent? I will be interviewing at least 5 in my documentary I want to be objective as possible in my interviewing as I want my audience to think for them selves and I don't want my games  documentary to be balanced as possiable make people violent bias.

I'll be interview some people in an arcade as it seems appropriate for my documentary of gaming I'll be interviewing people that  video play games   bases to get their opinion on the subject.

Next I'll be talking about the history of gaming next and how far videos games have come as an  industry compared to movie. Gaming documentary Script

Introduction

Video games. Why do we play video games? Clearly there must be a reason as to why we continue to play them. Simply put it is fun. But why is it fun? Why does it appeal to millions upon millions of people? We as people play video games to find some source of entertainment. Financial analyst

Show that global revenues accumulated by the game industry until 2017 will reach $107 billion dollars.

In this video I'll be talking about the history of gaming and development of gaming along with positives and negatives.

Some people have a competitive nature and have the adrenaline rush of going up against others and winning in a game. I'd would like to say that this when people are in the heat of the moment and by winning in games it causes some people to have some sort of satisfaction of winning. Some neuropsychologists think that playing video games gives people endorphin. Endorphin is a hormone which released from brain making people happy. This hormone can lead people to experience something more than once as makes them feel happy which can become addictive to something such as video games.
Some of us like to play video games for the amount of creativity a game has and it brings out the creative part of us. Creativity is known to make people feel positive and even increase the amount creativity we have in real life.
Some of us like to explore what games have to offer feeling as if they are in a totally different world playing as someone who they not. These are most likely are genres which contain adventure and action.

Mine craft

No mans sky

GTA

World of war craft

The Witcher wild hunt

Reasoning

We all build up stress once in a while and a way to relieve that stress is by leaving reality behind to playing video games. This is an opportunity to complete lose one self in another reality. This is a form of escapism. This may not be the reason why everyone plays video games. But it can certainly be used as an explanation for a selected few amongst the gaming community. Simply put the ability to lose one self.

By playing video games we can control things around us any way we want. We as players get an amount of self-confidence from playing games and by playing them some of us feel as if we are part of something great and we have a role to play. While in society we as people may feel that society controls our lives and so some people feel as if they don't have enough control so they may play video to compensate.

While in real life we are just simple people living out our daily lives. While in society we as people may feel that society controls our lives to a degree and society have exceptions from everyone.

But with games you can change all that you can do whatever you want without any one telling you other otherwise. This is one of the reasons why we keep playing video games. With games I can interact with friends, family and strangers.

There is the Nintendo Wii, which is seen as a console for those who are looking to be more fit while also keep having fun at the same time. There are all sorts a game, which has just, has deep provoking messages as the movies do.

History and Development of gaming

Video games have been around for at least 58 years but you couldn't always play video games at home when ever you wanted. Before you could really only play video games at arcades, which was and still for the public.

The first ever console to be made was called Atari and the first ever game to be made was called ping Pong which felt like you were playing a 2D version resubliming tennis. People were mind blow when since it was the first time you could interact with something on screen as it had never been done before which was in 1958.

Movies made millions amount of money more than games. However slowly games started to become more popular than movies. You can interact with people online and there is often a story to tell in videos games. While with movies there’s only one story. Games now a day has much more content than a movie, which is why it gains more money. To think it just began with a game called Ping Pong on a screen small black and white screen.

Before you could only play with someone if you were in the exact same room with two video game controls. By there being online people built community and made friends. Games brought people closer together when playing. Online gaming was a great way for people with a distance relationship to interact with each other rather than just call a distant friend or email them.

Games and consoles also have gotten more expensive over time and less games come out as a big amount of effort is put into making a game taking it over 2 years for games currently being made for consoles such as PS4 and Xbox one. This would be because the high demand of people wanting to play new game that feel fresh.

Violence in Video Games

Games have been accused of making people violent. News reports have blamed games for people murdering and being hostile to others. What I say to this is that the person acting out all these violent behaviours are either mentally ill or don't know how to tell reality from fiction. I wouldn't blame games for a person’s action as at the end of the day it's a person’s own will and no one else's and the same goes for anything related to the media industry.
Games for the most part were natural and for everyone to play. Until video games like doom came out which contained violence which was not suitable for younger people under the age of 18. Since then games like mortal combat, GTA and hitman have made a great impact on the game industry for the amount of violence these games contain.
To me personally this only made games have more variety to them and with more variety more people get interested in videos game. Game do not only have one genre it has multiply just like any movie or even product you see on store some people may hate it some may love it.

Conclusion

Overall, games has become an increasingly influential popular part of the media industry more than the movie industry I believe, which isn’t so different as games provide more content and also said to be more entraining for people ranging from people from 7 to 30. All games have a great potential and keeps getting better over time. Games appeal to almost everyone and they have the same genre as movies, which make it just as appealing as movies.
Depending on the amount of creativity creators have making games can be limitless and can go beyond anyone expectations and it all depends on the amount of creativity a game has.

Video games can also have a big impact on people and leave a message behind which can be a life lesson to people. I can understand where people come from when they say video games are bad for you and make people violent but like everything it has it's negatives and it's positives thank you for listening.

Unit 27 - Call sheet

I'll be interviewing at least about 5 people.  As my documentary will be about games I will want to gave a much opinion on the topic of games. I'll be interviewing people such as parents because I want to know their thoughts on their children playing video games. The location for interviewing the parent will most likely be at home. i'll also be interview people that play games on a daily bases so I might interview people at arcades. The location will take place in Namco Funscape in the public were there are always lots of people that people video games.

Week 2 Production log

My group had lost a member that was vital to our advert, as they couldn't help with our production any more. My team and I shared our idea to some people. We said our adverts will e about two young people having a food fight with just oranges in a canteen. The response to my teams idea was that it would seem like we were influencing kids to have a food fight which would be a terrible idea for an advert as it would our advert would be seen negatively.

We were facing a problem and so we need to change our idea a bit instead of having a food fight between two friends it would be a couple arguing. We also decided to change our location from canteen to a public park instead. we decided this because it was we wanted our target audience too feel engaged and like the other while also send a positive message that's why we had slightly change it.
