My second week I believe that I had
enough research on games so I focused my attention mostly on finishing my documentary
script. I gave all the possible reasons as to why games are so
entertaining to most and why they play a big role in the business industry as a
whole. I began to discuss the topic is it true that video games make
people violent or not. I need people thoughts and option on the matter so I
start to interview some people for my documentary. I also wrote some
example of violent video that has been contrivers the media games such as
GTA and Mortal kombat.

Unit 27 - Nichols' Mode
Realism
Realism is something being portrayed as being realistic
without any kind of fiction or unnatural thing in a TV show or movie. One of
the reasons why realism is used is so that the audited can relate to the
characters making them feel more real and for the audience to feel closer to
them as person and gain personal identification, which makes movies and TV
shows all the more enjoyable for them as a result even if not everyone enjoys
it. Adding realism to a movie or TV shows can actually feel like you
are in the scene with the characters in the scene and this makes the audience
even more engaged as a result.
Dramatisation
Dramatisation is when a story such as film builds a
structure, which creates drama. The reason for dramatisation is that it appeals
to some members of the audience. As a result some people will be engaged and
include to watch a certain movie, TV, play and novel if it contains themes of
drama in it. Over the past year years dramatization has been improving along
with no stop audiences which just seem to keep on increasing as time goes on.
Narrativisation
Narrartivsation is the sense of atmosphere, which
is, presents danger in the eyes of the audiences. Narrativsion used that the
audiences are ended in certain scenes of movie. An example of this would be
when a main character is in the risk at the risk of dying. This can make
audience fear for the main characters life. By a story doing it shows that the
audiences feel pity for the main character and even root for them, which can
make a main character likable in the audiences eyes.
Performative is when the narrator becomes part of a
story and possibly become the main character. By using this techniques in
movies it feels somewhat like a narrator telling a fairy tale but than in a
realistic way. This would be appealing to some audiences, as the audiences
would hear what the narrator thinks about their surrounding in scenes depending
on the environment and how the narrator feels at a specific time. By a movie,
novel and TV using the performative techniques audience can understand why the
narrator behave in a certain way to other character.
Interactive
Interactive are mostly in TV shows in interviews.
The interactive appeal to some audiences as they get insight into information’s
and what other people think of the topic at hand in the interview.
Audiences can also find a lot of subjectivity and objectivity when comes
to interviews and thats what some of the audience want. When comes to movies some times it's hard to understand a characters and why they behave a certain way and they they take certain actions.
Observational
Observational is the person talking to the audience. The audience can also be considered as the cameras. An example of this would be the Big Brother TV show were the audience get to see celebrities live with other people which creates a lot drama, arguments and fights ect.
Reflective
Reflexive is when the narrator interacts with the people in their show. By the narrator interacting with other people the audience may get can their narrators opinion and can also end up feeling like story. These relatives be examples such as documentaries and interviews.

Expository is also known as the voice of god. Expository
one narrator speaking through out and talking about what is happening so that audience
can understand what they are witnessing on screen. Example of this would be the
TV shows called Planet earth and the person narrating is non other then
David Bowie.

Unit 27 - vice documentary
The documentray of crime and punishment in the Gaza

In Saddam's Shadow: Baghdad 10 Years After the Invasion
https://www.vice.com/en_uk/video/crime-and-punishment-in-the-gaza-strip-part-1
Everything and talks about everything. The
description of the documentary says in
2007 we tried and failed to get into Gaza through the Israeli-controlled Ereaz
Crossing. Back then the rival Palestinian factions of Hamas and Fatahwere
engaged in a bloody war for control of this tiny strip of land. Hamas won. When
the post-Mubarak government of Egypt decided to start letting small numbers of
folks into Gaza through their Rafah crossing, we knew it was ochance to
finally get a rare glimpse of the embattled Gaza Strip and to see what life was
like under the rule of Hamas.
Israel and Gaza were not friendly terms as some of
the people of Israel attacked and assassinated a massive amount of people in
Gaza. Because of this Gaza lunched planes to attack Israel back. The narrator
to this didn't really get anyone’s opinion on this. This documentary was really
set on just facts. the war between nation shouldn't every happen.
The people at fault here would be some of the
people of Israel as they attacked the murdered innocent people. Gaza on the
other hand wanted to use votes, elections so the citizens choose how they live
which isn't fully just made on the governments that rules over.
I think what could have helped was the fact that
only one person in the documentary gave there opinion for a 8 minutes
documentary lacks in that but it makes for it for information instead.
The documentary only interviews two people. While the documentary doesn’t
have two separate parts it could have still have been better if it wasn't so
informative but got peoples opinion on the matter at hand.
Gaza is represented as a dangerous place as the
narrator said they could get bombed at any time simply for standing in Gaza as
people just visiting. Everyone in the documentary seems to be represented
as decent people. Close to the end of the video you see a militant group like
Alansard, which seem want revenge for what the people of Israel have done for
killing their people.
It's like the militant Alansard people
are ignorant to the fact the more people die the more suffering and war there
will just be until there's nothing left. The documentary could have honestly
looked at more positive things than just negatives which this documentary was
full of which was one sided and only really got the point of view of the people
of Gaza and not the Israel people.
In Saddam's Shadow: Baghdad 10 Years After the Invasion

This is brief documentary how life is in the Saddam after a
giant war broke out. After the
war finally ended people have been happier at
Saddam and citizens feel they have more freedom. What the documentary
first does
well is to show some of places of Saddam.
There also an interview were
citizens seem to
admire places like the USA as it is a completely free country with
so many
opportunities.
This gives in sight on to some of the people of Saddam and how some they feel about countries
like America and their own countries.
People in Saddam have
been getting killed for breaking from religious tradition. As such people
that are me bands and where just black clothing ect. the effect of this is
that people are getting murdered simply for dressing a certain way
which isn't seen as being appropriate along the victims being Muslim.
Police are having a hard time
actually protecting citizens as thousands and thousands and of people from
bombs being transport in to different parts. It
is repented positively at the start but over time the documentary
goes on to the negative side of things. By doing it makes the interview some
what balanced. What I think it was missing was the documentary being objective.
The documentary didn't interview anyone that was really effected by the
way this. If the documentary were to do that than it would have been
a pretty good documentary. What the documentary really did was get
peoples opinion the matter that was all subjective.
